*We phoned the Edgefield County Sheriff's Dept. a few hours before leaving to obtain
permission to enter the location.
*We left for the location a at 8:45pm and arrived at around 9:20pm.

cemetery.

When first entering the building itself we happened across several alarming items and paintings
within the church itself. Rumor has it it is actually referred to as "Satan's Church" locally as there was suppose to be occult
practices on the grounds since the church is and has been abandon. This could just be local rumors. I am not sure if I ever
read anything pretaining to anything happening at the location. Local law enforcement, those who live on the road and
Edgefield County have placed a Vandals warning sign up at the church to try and preserve what is left.
If you are a paranormal research group wishing to investigate the location phone the Edgefield
Police first and let them know of your intent and obtain their permission. They will let the officer on duty know your
going to be there and what vehicles they should look for. There is too many kids going out there causing problems.
Again I state, this site has a historical marker in front of it. Please respect the church and it's surroundings. If you are
caught doing anything that disrupts the site you will be prosecuted.
The "blood" in the above photos looked as if it was fresh and was wet. Upon investigating
we found it to be a substance like a shiny paint or jello possibly. The meat could have been a piece of beef or deer, what
looks to be a tongue Tim thinks may be a piece of fish. Also, all over the walls was reflective paint.
I think maybe some kids had been there at Halloween or maybe even more recently and done this. It was disgusting. At some
point they may need to think about a locked gate to perhaps keep the "hell raisers" from entering.
Update: 2 of our members are Edgefield EMS EMT's.
One was on his way home on April 4th and decided to stop and snap a few photos for himself. The meat had been cleaned up and
someone had tried to scrub the fake blood up off the floor.
A few nights ago they where out and decided to stop
and check in to make sure all was still ok and someone had went back to the church and put meat there again. Truthfully, I
think this is someone who lives close to that church whose doing it.
We continued to scope the surroundings within the building. Photos where taken while Kim did
an EMF sweep around the entire area. Nothing out of the ordinary happened at this particular time. Your going to see what
looks like a lot of "orbs" in most photos, it was very dusty. There is nothing paranormal about this.
After doing a sweep of the room, we decided to split up and go outside. Tim and Kim remained
within the church for a short time. The intent was to place one of the microcassette recorders in the middle of the floor
then leave. We asked a few questions while people where leaving and commencing to exit the church. Some came in and went back
out which we noted on the recorder. During this time we caught 2 unexplainable EVP's.
Let me set this up for you so you understand what your hearing. The first EVP was captured
on Kim's microcassette, Tim's digital recorder AND the video camcorder that uses the small tapes. The second was ALSO caught
on microcassette and digital recorders. Tim must have shut the camera off a minute or 2 because the second EVP section isn't
on the tape. Which is bad, because we would have had it on all 3 devices.
EVP #1 - The first EVP is a sound like fafafafafafafa. This was caught
on the microcassette, the digital recorder and the camcorder
EVP #2 - The second EVP was first detected on the way home when Kim
was listening to the microcassette. A voice comes in and made us jump at first. Kim was trying to stop the recorder and pressed
the record button and you'll hear everyone yelling. After calming down we continued to listen. Tim and Kim are reacting to
something by giggling. So we thought maybe Kim or Tim had said something and it got garbled somehow and it was actually Kim.
Once home while listening to the Digital, the same conversation is on there as well, however this time we know what Tim and
Kim was giggling at. When people was coming in and out Kim said "I don't know how your going to get any EVP's with them running
in and out"(something to that affect)...then they both giggled.(that was the giggle on the microcassette heard that we didn't
know what they where reacting to)...on digital, the voice/sound actually happens at the tail end of Kim's comment in regard
to the EVP's and actually 2 voices are on there at once, the other over top of Kim's. It is another female voice,(we think) when
no other females where present and no one was close to them or the mics. In essence whatever it was was closest to Kim's pull
up mic and it blocked her voice out all together. On Tim's, it was far enough away to pick it all up.
This is so far fetched it is crazy. Kim says "I don't know how your going to get/hear
any EVP's, giggle giggle. When the recording is slowed down(the last one), does it not sound like she says "I can hear the
EVP"? Now I ask you, how would she(the ghost, if there actually is one) know what an EVP was? But we are all hearing
it. The only other thing I come up with is "I can hear (then another word) you and he", or "I can hear you can you hear me?" Is
this an EVP? It appears to be, yes. We have no other explaination for it. There was no one around close enough. You cannot
tell on the microcassette, but on the digital whatever it is is fast. No one I know talks that fast.
